Carlos Tavares is the Managing Attorney of Antonyan Miranda, a litigation trial attorney, and a Certified Family Law Specialist.
Mr. Tavares has experience in all aspects of family law litigation, including complex and high-net-worth case matters such as financial analysis and tracing, custody and visitation disputes, contempt and post-judgment enforcement, and domestic violence restraining orders.
Mr. Tavares has worked extensively with the local military community, and is highly proficient in dealing with military-family law issues regarding pensions, survivor benefit plans, jurisdiction, SCRA, and the Lautenberg Act. Mr. Tavares understands the nuances and possesses the ability to navigate family law in parallel with military regulations and FAP proceedings.
Mr. Tavares has served a guest lecturer at the Marine Corps Installations West Legal Assistance Conference, and is a regular guest instructor for the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, and other military units.
Mr. Tavares began his legal career litigating construction defect cases, and over the past decade his practice has had exclusive concentration on family law litigation. Prior to joining the executive staff of Antonyan Miranda, Mr. Tavares served as a founding partner of San Diego County Top Attorneys finalist, Keamy Tavares & Associates, where he managed the family law and litigation divisions.
