“Inheritance can be a complicated issue, let me simplify it for you. My name is Jasmine and I work at Antonyan Miranda as a Trust & Estates Litigator. The first question you might want answered is, “What’s the difference between a trust and a will?” Well in essence they are very similar documents they govern where you want your assets to go when you die; however a will, you have to go through a court proceeding when you pass – if you have a trust, it is a private document that will allow you to avoid any type of court proceeding unless someone files a petition related to your trust.

So a court proceeding is going to require a lot more fees and it’s going to cost a lot more to get your assets distributed to the people you want your money to go to at the end of the day. We recommend that everybody has a trust because it saves your heirs time and money. They don’t have to go through a lengthy court process and they can get their inheritance quicker.”
