ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Sydney Cadwell is an Associate Attorney at Antonyan Miranda. Ms. Cadwell has a deep passion for the practice of family law, and first joined Antonyan Miranda as a full-time legal intern while awaiting her admission to the State Bar of California.
Ms. Cadwell has extensive practice representing clients in a multitude of family law matters, including domestic violence restraining orders, child custody and visitation, support issues, attorney fees, and asset division. Exemplifying her capabilities, Ms. Cadwell has conducted over 20 evidentiary hearings and successfully defended clients against multiple contempt charges.
With a keen interest and substantial experience in complex child custody and visitation cases, Ms. Cadwell has also represented clients in several mediation and private judging cases. Ms. Cadwell was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Thomson Reuters in 2023 and passed the Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) examination on her first attempt.
Ms. Cadwell, who is originally from Washington, Illinois, earned a B.S. in Psychology from Upper Iowa University and received her Juris Doctorate with a Public Interest Certificate from Northern Illinois University. Ms. Cadwell graduated from law school Magna Cum Laude and in the top ten of her class, while concurrently being recognized with the Clover Family Award for most volunteer hours in her graduating class. Ms. Cadwell was also the Co-Chair for the Family Law Society and participated in Northern Illinois University’s Zeke Georgi Legal Clinic, assisting low-income litigants with family law and elder law matters.
